
Executive Chef Chris Mayer leads the culinary team at Big Rock Italian Chophouse, bringing over 20 years of experience. Starting his career at 15, Chris joined Cameron Mitchell Restaurants in 2005. At Ocean Prime Troy, he quickly advanced from line cook to executive chef. At Big Rock, he oversees an innovative menu featuring premium steaks, chops, fresh pastas, and Italian-inspired dishes. He takes pride in mentoring younger chefs and building strong kitchen teams that deliver consistent, high-quality results. Outside the kitchen, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and boating with his wife and daughter.
